This could be my last Sun column with Stephen Harper serving as Canada’s 22nd prime minister. My hope is that it isn’t.
It’s no secret that I’ve been relatively supportive of the Tories’s political agenda.
He has run an effective government, for the most part. Our country’s economy is in good shape. Job numbers are up. Taxes are lower. Trade deals like the Trans-Pacific Partnership will enhance Canada’s role in a global marketplace. International leaders respect our role in Afghanistan, the Russia-Ukraine crisis, defending Israel, and fighting the war on terror.
