Ukrainian soldier Ivan Rodichenko’s marriage first began to fall apart when the Russian military annexed Crimea nearly two years ago, sparking a nearly two-year-long conflict that has killed more than 7,000 people. The stress of war placed a wedge between him and his wife the moment he decided to fight back against Russian aggressors.
