Outgoing U.S. Envoy: Ukraine ‘Can Survive Anything’ But Needs To Tackle Corruption

U.S. Ambassador Geoffrey Pyatt said that after making it through the tumultuous and violent year of 2014, “Ukraine can survive anything.” In an interview with RFE/RL’s Ukrainian Service TV program, Our Freedom, Pyatt reflected on his three years of duty in Kyiv. He said that he regretted more had not been done to eliminate corruption in the country. Pyatt is leaving Ukraine after being appointed as the new U.S. ambassador to Greece. …read more
