Tim Kaine says a meeting with a young man with a physical disability is reminding him what the campaign is about.
The Democratic vice-presidential nominee met Monday with Mike Phillips, a South Tampa resident with spinal muscular atrophy. Phillips, who can’t speak or sit up, met Kaine in Lakeland, Florida.
Phillips is a campaign volunteer and advocate for developing technologies for people with disabilities. He spoke to Kaine through a computer.
