Ukrainian Soldier’s Video Shows Intense Fighting Around Donetsk

Fighting has continued in the eastern Ukraine’s Donetsk region despite the cease-fire declared on September 5. Ukrainian soldier Serhiy Tyshkevych of Ukraine’s 11th Territorial Defense Battalion gave video of battles to RFE/RL correspondent Levko Stek. Tyshkevych said the video was recorded September 22-26 during clashes with Russia-backed separatists around the village Nikishino, about 15 kilometers east of Debaltseve in the Donetsk region.
