Damneet Singh grabbed a silver in boys’ hammer throw event to give India their first medal on the third day of the IAAF World U-18 Athletics Championships in Nairobi on Friday.
Damneet sent the 5kg chain and iron ball to a best distance of 74.20m, which he came up in his first attempt. This was his personal best effort.
