In a headline-grabbing lawsuit between Russian corporate giants, regional oil company Bashneft and its parent Rosneft will be hoping to press home their claims tomorrow (Thursday) in the Bashkortostan regional capital of Ufa that the telecoms-to-travel conglomerate Sistema systematically stripped Bashneft of value while it owned the firm prior to 2014.
This spring Bashneft filed a lawsuit against Sistema, which had been its owner until 2014 and, according to the plaintiff, asset stripped the enterprise, returning an almost empty shell to the state.
