A former Russian parliamentarian who fled to Ukraine and harshly criticized the Russian authorities has been murdered in Kyiv.
Former Communist parliamenarian Denis Voronenkov, was one of two men killed outside Kyiv’s Premier Palace hotel March 23, according to the Vesti Ukraine news website.
Kyiv Police Chief Andrei Krishchenko is reported as saying that the murder was likely a contract killing.
