Beijing, June 28: Adding more strength to its naval arsenal, China on Wednesday introduced one of its biggest destroyers, Type 055, to lock horns with India and the United States of America in the Indian Ocean. Weighing more than 10,000 tonnes, the ship is equipped with air to surface missiles. The latest induction outnumbers the Indian destroyer Vishakhapatnam, still to be commissioned, and will contain 50 missiles where its Chinese counterpart may carry up to 120 missiles. China is developing three more destroyers which will be commissioned in the Navy soon.
