Anna Andriyevskaya cannot go home. If she does, she will be arrested for inciting separatism and face a jail term of five years.
Skype is her main connection to her homeland of Crimea, where her family and friends have remained two years after Russia’s annexation of the region from Ukraine. They, too, face threats from the Russian government, she said.
