The United Nations Secretary General has hailed the agreement between Iran and the P5+1 countries over the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program, expressing hope that the world powers can use the “solidarity” they demonstrated during the nuclear talks to resolve conflicts across the world.
“I commend the landmark nuclear agreement between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the P5+1 countries. Dialogue and patient diplomacy have paid dividends,” Ban Ki-moon said in his address to the 70th Session of the UN General Assembly in New York on Monday.
