The Western military alliance of NATO has approved a plan to strengthen its military presence in Eastern Europe, where its activities have already irritated regional power Russia.During a ministerial summit meeting in the Belgian capital city of Brussels on Wednesday, defense chiefs from NATO member states agreed to a plan to beef up military presence in the alliance’s so-called eastern flank, citing perceived threats from Russia.
