Russia has kicked off its Victory Day military parade on Moscow’s Red Square, commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Soviet Union’s triumph over Nazi Germany in World War II.
The Victory Day parade in the capital’s center began at 10:00 a.m. local time (0700 GMT) and is described as the largest of such events in the country’s history since the end of World War II known in Russia as the Great Patriotic War, Press TV said.
