Leaders of the world’s richest nations, popularly referred to as G7, held its 42nd summit in Japan last week. It is largely a lacklustre, finest club affair, dominated by rich democracies such as Britain, France, Italy, Canada, US, Japan and Germany.
While the world was freely exchanging views, challenging ideas, and discussing changing of minds of its subjects, in Africa smoke characterised the skies in Congo, as tension remained high in Uganda after treason charges were preferred against Opposition leader Dr Kizza Besyge.
