Education advocates and government ministers met this past week at the World Education Forum in South Korea to advance efforts to make a quality education accessible to all children. The World Bank pledged $2.5 billion to this end, and Canada is also doing its part. Last month, the federal government announced it would double its contribution to the Global Partnership for Education to $120 million over four years. Canada is also giving $10 million to UNICEF for education and protection for children in humanitarian situations.
