DUSHANBE, 17.01.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – The media sometimes publish various opinions about the Basmachism movement and the personality of Kurbashi. There is an opinion in which the war of Basmachis against the Soviet government is regarded as “the struggle of the inhabitants of Bukhara against the revolutionaries”, and they want to see the leaders of Basmachi as “national heroes”. This, of course, is a one-sided, purposeful and subjective view of historical events and Basmachi personalities.
