Late last week, a spokesperson for Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada refused to comment on reports that appeared in Russian media last year saying former Ukrainian prime minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk has been granted Canadian citizenship.
“Due to privacy concerns we cannot comment on specific cases without consent,” stated IRCC spokesperson Lindsay Wemp in an email.
