Stephen Harper’s selective punishment of Vladimir Putin


Again this week, Prime Minister Stephen Harper announced more sanctions aimed at punishing Vladimir Putin and once again he threatened more if there are continued violations of a ceasefire in Ukraine.
Further Russian escalation will result in further costs to the Russian economy, Harper said. Foreign Affairs Minister Rob Nicholson boasted Ottawa has the toughest sanction regime in the world.
