EU and US warned again president Vladimir Putin on Monday against a ‘humanitarian’ invasion of Ukraine. The warning came as Putin told Commision president Jose Manuel Barroso that Russia “would send to Ukraine a humanitarian convoy” together with the Red Cross to relieve the besieged cities of Donetsk and Lugansk.
Earlier, NATO had said as well that there was a “high probability” that Russia would launch an invasion of Ukraine.
