KUALA LUMPUR: The Meteorological Services Department received RM67 million while the Malaysian Remote Sensing Agency (MRSA) was given RM4.2 million in an effort to upgrade the nation’s disaster management delivery system.
Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said the Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) Ministry was tasked to carry out the upgrade the system and that the government has approved the grant.
This was especially important after the twin Malaysian Airlines tragedies and the catastrophic floods which hit the country last year.
