Ukraine peace talks begin, overshadowed by fighting

The leaders of France, Germany, Russia and Ukraine began
peace talks in Belarus, while in Ukraine pro-Moscow
separatists tightened the pressure on Kiev by launching some
of the war’s worst fighting.
