Portugal is “on alert” following a major global cyberattack that infected computers at Russia’s biggest oil company, Ukrainian banks and multinational firms on Tuesday (June 27) with a virus similar to the ransomware that infected more than 300,000 computers last month.
Though there are no reports of companies in Portugal being affected, the national cybersafety centre (CNS) says it is “vigilant” and that any kind of attack will be reported immediately to PJ criminal police.
