The United States is planning to step up its drone flights over the next four years to boost intelligence and combat capabilities across a growing number of conflict zones.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the Pentagon seeks to expand the number of daily flights by 50 percent. The move is to provide commanders with extra surveillance in regions such as Ukraine, Iraq, Syria, the South China Sea and North Africa.
