Armenian temple in Aleppo to be restored


An Armenian temple in Aleppo’s Christian district will be restored. The 15th century, the temple was popular among pilgrims and tourists before the Syrian war broke out.
Although the temple belongs to the Armenian Apostolic Church, Orthodox Christians from Ukraine, Russia and Belarus used to visit the church to pray and light candles.
Built in the 15th century, the shrine has survived a number of wars, and has been restored every time thanks to efforts of world-spread Armenians.
