Romanian research vessel Mare Nigrum has been conducting an oceanographic expedition in the Bulgarian territorial waters of the Black Sea. The initiative is part of an international project aimed at assessing the effects of human actions on the Black Sea ecosystem and developing methodologies that allow for the collection of new marine environment data. Another objective of the project is to improve coordination in environmental protection and waste management in the region.
