Italy is the home of some of the greatest sculptors and painters in the world but the statue of Leonardo da Vinci at Rome’s Fiumicino Airport is the work of Bulgarian sculptor Assen Peykov. However, few Bulgarians have heard about him. In Italy the sculptor is better-known and the small square in front of his home, near the Colosseum is named after him.
