A report of the Department of Economic and Social Affairs DESA of the UN marks that the forecast on Bulgaria’s demographic development is the darkest one in the world. In the period 2015 – 2020 the Bulgarian population will shrink by 27.9%, dropping down to 5,154,000 people from the current number of 7,152,000.
