MPs from VMRO party, which is part of the ruling coalition, announced a legislative initiative for introducing a new kind of identity document for people of Bulgarian origin living abroad. All persons of Bulgarian origin living outside the country who do not have Bulgarian citizenship will be able to apply for the “Bulgarian card”, as it will be called.
