The conflicts in Syria and Ukraine were expected to top the agenda for talks in Moscow between Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and the head of the international Red Cross.
Medvedev’s press service said the November 24 meeting with Peter Maurer, president of the International Committee of the Red Cross, would focus on “humanitarian crises in different regions of the world.”
Maurer’s three-day visit to Moscow comes as the fighting in Syria in particular consumes major resources of agencies like the Red Cross and the United Nations.
