A new report suggests that Paul Manafort, President Donald Trump’s former campaign manager, was the victim of a blackmail attempt by a Ukrainian parliament member who was aware of both Trump’s and Manafort’s connections to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Manafort has ties to Russia including his work for a pro-Russian politician in Ukraine, former president Viktor Yanukovych, and may be part of the focus of an FBI investigation into Trump’s connections to Russia.
