Leaders decide on topics from fuel to corruption

BERLIN – German Chancellor Angela Merkel went into the Group of Seven summit in the Bavarian Alps with a broad agenda, but combating climate change was a top priority. At the two- day meeting of the leaders of Germany, Britain, Canada, France, Italy, Japan and the United States, the G-7’s most eye-catching pledge was a commitment to move away from using fossil fuels by the end of this century.
