Emmanuel Macron hopes to secure party’s future in upcoming local elections but faces serious contenders

The 2020 French local elections will take place on Sunday March 15th for the first round and Sunday March 22nd for the second. The first local elections to be held since Emmanuel Macron became President in 2017.
