Migrant ‘almost reached England on foot’
A spokesperson for Eurotunnel says a migrant stopped inside the Channel Tunnel had “almost succeeded” in reaching England. The Sudanese national, aged 40, was arrested a mile or two from the Dover end of the 31-mile tunnel on Tuesday. He is due to appear at Medway Magistrate’s Court, charged with causing an obstruction.
