London Bridge attacker had been convicted of terrorism
The man named by police as being the perpetrator of Friday’s stabbing attack at London Bridge is as a former prisoner convicted of terrorism offences. Usman Khan, 28, was out of prison on licence at the time of the attack, in which a man and a woman were killed and three others were injured. The Guardian says he had previously jailed for an “al-Qaida inspired bomb plot”.
