A new poll released Thursday shows an increase in the support of impeachment among Americans, but it’s well short of a majority.
The Morning Consult poll found that just as many Americans support impeachment as those oppose it, at 43 percent.
However, the support of impeachment jumped by 7 points from 36 percent, while the opposition to impeachment fell 6 points from 49 percent.
The survey was conducted between September 24 and 26, during the time when Democrats decided to begin an impeachment inquiry against President Donald Trump.
