TOKYO: Prime Minister Shinzo Abe agreed Friday with Russian President Vladimir Putin to arrange an unofficial visit to Russia, possibly in spring, prior to a trip to Japan by the Russian leader.
In their 40-minute telephone talks, Abe and Putin affirmed that the two governments will hold a vice minister-level meeting in February in Tokyo to prepare for the exchanges between the leaders, according to the Japanese Foreign Ministry.
