WASHINGTON: White House says Trump to back fresh sanctions against Russia after politicians throw support behind punishing measures.
US President Donald Trump approves of a bill imposing fresh sanctions on Russia and is ready to sign, the White House said.
Trump’s willingness to support the measure is a an acknowledgement that he has yet to sell his party on his hopes for forging a warmer relationship with Moscow.
