Add WhatsApp co-founder Jan Koum to the list of former executives who have soured on Facebook — perhaps with a question mark next to his name.
Koum announced Monday in a Facebook post that he is leaving the company, whose board he joined when the social media giant bought WhatsApp in 2014. The $19 billion purchase remains Facebook’s biggest one.
In a post accompanied by the Facebook status “feeling emotional,” Koum offered little clue about the truth behind reports that he had clashed with the company over its privacy policies.
