The Bulgarian Parliament rejected the proposal of the opposition BSP party to discuss the possible limitation of further EU sanctions against Russia on Wednesday.
Last week, the parliament similarly refused to include the discussion of the proposal in its weekly agenda.
Before that it was turned down by the parliamentary Foreign Policy Committee on January 21, when it was supported only by members of BSP and the Alternative for Bulgarian Revival (ABV).
Socialist MP Valeri Jablianov insisted on Wednesday that the proposal be discussed by Parliament before the forthcoming meeting of the European Council.
