New geopolitical situation has been created in the Middle East since September 30.
“Russia has tried to become a doer in this region. One of his goals was to keep his friend Bashar al-Assad and the second goal was that by becoming a doer here, Russia thinks that its role can be sold in Syria for obtaining serious concessions in Ukraine in return,” political expert Aghasi Yenokyan told “A1+”.
Political expert Levon Shirinyan thinks that if 3 years ago Russia supported Syria, which had army and was more or less powerful at the time, Syrian authorities, naturally, would reject and wouldn’t allow.
