Despite the fact that Armenian weightlifting team is not participating in the 2018 European Weightlifting Championships in Bucharest, there was one Armenian athlete among the medal winners: Sargis Martirosyan, who represents Austria.
He took the 3rd place and won the bronze medal.
Because of the violation the Anti-Doping Rules and disqualification for one year, representatives of Armenia, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Moldova did not take part in the European Championship this year.
