Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko released a statement today claiming that Ukrainian forces have destroyed the majority of a Russian military convoy inside of eastern Ukraine. The Russian Foreign Ministry has also released a statement drawing attention to “the sharp intensification of military action by Ukrainian forces with the apparent aim to stop the path, agreed on with Kiev, of a humanitarian convoy across the Russia-Ukraine border,” according to CNBC and Reuters.
