The World Economic Forum, a Swiss think tank, has said, for the eighth year in a row, that Switzerland is the world’s most competitive economy. The Netherlands come top out of the EU in fourth place, beating Germany in fifth. The UK, based upon pre-Brexit referendum data, climbed three places to seventh.
