LUXEMBOURG — The European Union on Monday called on Russia to stop all bombing in Syria, and said that working with the United Nations it would redouble efforts to push humanitarian aid into the devastated city of Aleppo.
Clearly dismayed by the ongoing violence, EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini said she planned to begin talks about a political transition and future reconstruction of Syria, in hopes it would encourage a ceasefire.
