The European Union on Thursday added 10 more Syrian regime officials to the list of suspects involved in the aggression against Syrian civilians, according to a statement.
They include high-ranking military officials and several senior figures linked to President Bashar al-Assad’s government. They have been slapped with a travel ban and will see their assets frozen. The list of sanctioned officials now includes 217 names.
In addition, 69 entities have also been targeted with an asset freeze, the statement said. The measures were agreed on by defense ministers following the conclusions of an EU summit held earlier this month.Also On PoliticoGermany charges …read more
