The EU on Friday said it will unveil plans for closer military cooperation at a summit of EU leaders in late June, days after the U.K referendum on its membership, according to media reports.
Fears of an “EU army” have been used by the Leave campaign as a reason to back Brexit. But an EU spokesperson told AFP: “There is absolutely no plan to set up an EU army … There is also no secret paper.”
