PARIS — France’s lower house of parliament adopted a resolution Thursday calling for the European Union to lift its economic sanctions against Russia, though less than a fifth of the chamber participated in the vote.
Of the National Assembly’s 577 MPs, 101 voted. Fifty-five voted in favor and 44 were against the resolution, which argued that EU sanctions against Russia should not be renewed when they expire on July 31.
