Arriving in Brussels at a time of turbulence and uncertainty over the future of transatlantic relations, U.S. Defense Secretary James Mattis on Wednesday called NATO “my second home” and reiterated President Donald Trump’s support for the alliance.
“Thank you very much for the warm welcome back to my second home,” Mattis said during a brief appearance with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg, ahead of a meeting of NATO defense ministers.
