German Chancellor Angela Merkel said in an interview published on Saturday she has a good relationship with U.S. President Donald Trump, despite their differences.
“President Trump and I have developed a good working relationship, which doesn’t rule out having different points of view,†she said in an interview with the Hannoversche Allgemeine newspaper.
“When we talk with each other, it is about developing a common approach to the Ukraine conflict or the terrible war in Syria,†she added.
Merkel said said she was “delighted†that Ivanka Trump took part in the Women20 summit in Berlin, in which the chancellor also participated.
