Britain must have some “uncomfortable conversations” with its close allies and take a “principled stance” on Russian sanctions, the all-party foreign affairs select committee wrote in a report released Thursday.
Sanctions should not be lifted until Russia ends its illegal annexation of Crimea, stops supporting separatist groups in eastern Ukraine, and abides by international law, the MPs wrote, but the Trump administration and Brexit may stand in the way.
